We’ve been very busy over the past few months to release a brand new, fully upgraded version of ClinCalc.com. Today, these updates are now available!
Read below for the major updates that we’ve released, but rest assured, there are many, many more under-the-hood updates for nearly all of the 25+ clinical calculators on ClinCalc.
Mobile-Friendly Support
Almost 25% of ClinCalc.com traffic comes from mobile devices (phones and tablets). While most webpages look fine on mobile devices, we’ve specifically redesigned ClinCalc to support responsive web design, where each page look great and allows for easier user interaction on these smaller screens.
SI (International System) Unit Support
About 20% of our visitors come from outside of the United States. In an effort to support these international visitors, we’ve begun implementing SI units (eg, μmol instead of mg/mcg) support.
Continuity of Design, Web Standards, and Performance Upgrades
We’ve released 20+ clinical calculators over the past two years. As newer calculators were released, we implemented more advanced features and design elements. With the Fall 2013 update, you should notice a more unified theme, improved functionality, and even performance upgrades with each calculator. Additionally, we’ve also taken the time to make sure that each page supports the most updated web standards so that things continue looking sharp for years to come.
What’s Coming Up?
Now that the Fall 2013 update is live, we’ll be focusing our energy on adding new and exciting clinical calculators. Stay tuned for future updates!
